48 Pieces

48 Pieces is a work that was created in a strict, even meditative approach.

The individual image bodies and the gesso were made and applied by hand. This process was about violating the surface with the knife and the routine of creating a grid on the surface in a recurring sequence of work.

In this work it was important to see that despite all the care taken, not one line resembles another. Through this process of creation, it becomes clear that each grid can develop in its own dynamic.
